NLA: San Diego - Leatherfest IV
The San Diego Chapter of the National Leather Association (NLA:SD) has announced that it will present LeatherFest IV on March 13-15. Co-chairs of the event are chapter president Bob Goldfarb and board member at large Bob Schurr, owner of the Crypt.
LeatherFest is a weekend of workshops, panel discussions, and parties, all designed to increase awareness, understanding, and communication within the leather community, as well as promoting safe, sane, and consensual activities. Guests and merchants from all over the Western United States attend the weekend every year, with many discovering San Diego for the first time.
LeatherFest was started by chapter founders International Mr Leather 1989 Mike Pereyra, Mr Southern California Drummer 1989 Mark Klein, and Mr. San Diego Leather 1990 Ed Winant. Local motorcycle clubs California Cyclemen Motorcycle Club (CCMC) and the Knights on Iron MC sponsor a fun run for sightseeing, and a brunch honoring those local people who have contributed to the leather lifestyle during the year is held on Sunday.
